Knowledge Management Systems Development with AWS

In the realm of knowledge management, the intelligence analyst usually collects information in the form objects/entities, research/white papers, relational queries, and structured/unstructured reports into a sandbox environment for further analysis resulting in the development an intelligence report. This requires individual access and a priori knowledge of many data sources for the analyst to successfully build the right query to generate the desired information. Using text generation and summarization we can develop natural language processing (NLP) models to generate human-like text for automated intelligence report writing, summarizing large volumes of documents, and extracting key information from unstructured text such as news articles, social media posts, or other intelligence reports. Automated intelligence report generation can eliminate some of the rote analytic tasks and discover new data insights the analyst may have missed in a manual analysis process.

Boeing Intelligence and Analytics (BI&A) develops knowledge management systems for the intelligence community. Our research efforts use NLP machine learning models to identify domain specific objects and events in unstructured data. Working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) we are looking at how we can incorporate generative AI solutions in the analyst’s workspace. Our customers are moving more of their on-prem custom solutions to AWS cloud platforms and BI&A is there to make that transition a success. Ask us about our research into custom machine learning models in cybersecurity intelligence and our partnership with AWS using SageMaker, Textract, and Bedrock to incorporate generative AI solutions in our customer solutions.
